Action Implementing solar heating systems to replace electric showers in Long Term Institutions for the Elderly (LTIEs), ensuring more comfort for the elderly. Public Long Term Institutions for the Elderly (LTIEs). Scope Approximately 500 ILPIs within Cemig’s concession area. Implementation In progress. Action Implementing energy solutions in Association of Protection and Assistance to the Convicted (APACs). Public Association of Protection and Assistance to the Convicted (APACs). Scope 36 APACs within Cemig’s concession area. Implementation In progress. Cemig Project at the APACs Action Aiming at reducing consumption and average peak demand through efficiency of equipment and awareness of the rational use of electricity, Cemig Project at the APACs forecasts the following Energy Efficiency Actions (EEA): Replacement of the following equipment: Inefficient light bulbs by light bulbs with LED technology; Conventional showers by electronic showers; Old refrigerators and freezers in poor condition by new and efficient equipment; Installing a Photovoltaic System (PVS) with maximum power of up to 75 kWp; Training of inmates from 26 APACs through three professional courses: The first of them is the “Notions of Building Electrical Installations” course, with a workload of 30 hours for 920 students; the second one is the “Building Electrical Installations” course, with a workload of 45 hours for 920 students; and the third one is the “Assembly and Maintenance of Photovoltaic Systems” course, with a workload of 40 hours for 624 students; the latter, besides including in the training structure a didactic kit for learning, requires as a prerequisite professional experience and/or basic knowledge in building electrical installations (the first two courses). Public 36 APACs (and their inmates), in addition to the Brazilian Fraternity of Assistance to the Convicted – FBAC (which has already received the replacement of its equipment). Scope All APACs within Cemig Distribution concession area. Implementation In progress, scheduled to be completed by 2021.
</oembed>
