Glossary Child Any person under the age of 15, unless the local minimum age law stipulates a higher age for work or compulsory education, in which case the higher age prevails. If, however, the local minimum age law is set at 14 years of age, according to the exceptions of emerging countries under ILO Convention 138, the lower age between the two conditions shall prevail.
