Window of Knowledge Project

The Igarapé Thermal Power Plant has entered into a partnership in an adult literacy program. Since 2000, literacy classes have been held at the plant’s facilities. People who never had the opportunity to attend school earlier in life are being taught to read and write. The objective is to help eradicate illiteracy. 20 adults, including members of the Francelinos community and employees with the Plant Conservation and Cleaning Company.
