The Família Caná Association in Belo Horizonte

It was through the intervention by Cemig employees in November 2001 that the ceiling of the refectory at the Recanto de Caná Farm in the community of Padre Henrique was finished in PVC. This philanthropic institution is dedicated to helping alcoholics and drug addicts. The ceiling made possible improvements to the thermal insulation in the refectory, allowing for a more comfortable internal temperature. The refectory hall is used for film screenings, meetings, speeches, masses for the patients and visits with their families. Benefiting from the project are recovering individuals (alcoholics and drug addicts) of whom 118 are men and 15 are women.
