Criança Feliz Daycare Center in Ipatinga

Volunteers in Ipatinga adopted the Criança Feliz (Happy Child) Daycare Center with the goal of assisting 45 children through a variety of means: improvements to the electrical infrastructure and the donation of materials in order to help improve the lives of the children. In May, 2004, the Bedroll Campaign was launched with the participation of volunteers from Cemig Distribuição e Geração (Cemig Distribution and Generation) in Ipatinga. R$450.00 was collected and put towards the purchase of 45 bedrolls. Electrical rewiring is scheduled to begin at the center in August, 2004 with the participation of the volunteers from Ipatinga.
