Cemig, supported in the economic pillar of sustainability, is consolidating its equity stake in many important companies in the domestic energy sector.
Also of note is the acquisition of a 49% equity stake in three wind farms owned by Energimp S.A. in Ceará with a total capacity of 100 MW, in addition to the acquisition of an equity stake together with an investment fund of 65.85% of Transmissora Aliança de Energia Elétrica S.A. – Taesa (formerly Terna Participações), an energy transmission holding company, which represents an important step for the Company.
As a result of this acquisition, Cemig has become the largest electric energy transmission group in Brazil, which now stands at 9.748 km.
In respect to distribution, we have increased our investment in Light, an energy distributor that operates in the second largest state capital in the Country, Rio de Janeiro, also in conjunction with an Equity Stake Investment Fund (FIP), which means that Cemig has practically doubled its voting capital in Light (which may reach 25%).
