Consultations and Whistleblowing Reports

Since 2006, in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Cemig has made available to all its employees a Whistleblowing Channel through its Intranet service. The objective of the channel is to handle consultations and reports (anonymous or not) provided by its internal public, regarding operational or ethical issues. The public may also send reports and make consultations via email directly to the Ethics Commission or via internal pouch to the Commission secretariat.

Other publics may send reports or make consultations through the service channel made available by Cemig’s Ombudsman’s Office. The Ombudsman’s Office is a channel maintained by Cemig for its relationship with society at large, and it receives and analyzes suggestions, complaints, compliments and whistleblowing reports concerning the Company’s activities.

All reports or consultations received by the Ombudsman that concern the Cemig Declaration of Ethical Principles and Code of Professional Conduct and the Minas Gerais State Civil Servant and Higher State Administration Code of Ethical Conduct are forwarded to the Ethics Commission.
