Environmental Education Project

The Environmental Education Project was developed by the Nova Ponte Power Plant employees with the purpose of carrying out environmental education in neighboring communities. Lectures and visits to both the Plant and its archaeological heritage sites are held. Children and adults are invited to take part in fish stocking activities in the reservoir, Environment Week festivities and ecological regattas and group based activities. Nearly 2,000 students take part in the activities every year, in addition to other interested parties.
